This style, "retrofitted plastic grinder" features plastic grinding mechanisms that have been modified to fit in the same countersunk (and keyed) pockets that fit both the Peugeot grinder and the Tre Spade grinder. The mills that have this seem to be peg fill mills that never had a ring fill along with their Peugeot grinder. They jumped from that configuration to a plastic grinder with a ring fill.
(Note: the "retrofitted" is only meant to imply that this was done at the factory.)
